OMG, i can't blieve that is units are over. I think i am really scaried about these unit's test because we only studied these unit for a short VERY SHORT period of time. I don't think we did enough examples, but again thats what i think, well maybe that was becuase i had to do my provincial and get less class time than everyone else. I think i am really worried about sequences becuase i didn't even go through this unit. I am really worried about this test and the provincial but whatever everything happens for a reason, i hope the cheat sheet will come in hand on the test if not, im screwed. AHHHAHHHHH!!!!

OMG, i can't believe that this is like the second last unit we are learning, whoa. Well anyways my thought about this unit is that it is a simple when you really understand what you are looking for. I think that the test is going to be kinda hard just becuase, the unit was rushed. I think that if their was a few more days and a few more expamples i would do fine, but the year is coming to an end and we still have 1 more unit to do. Periodic function is kinda easy just rememeber DABC.

hey everyone, so it is the day of the test, i think it is going to be fun. I thought that this until was really fun to do. Not saying that I got evey question right, I'm saying that it is fun becuase you can acutally use what you learned from this unit in the future. I think that everyone is going to do good on the test, like hello you are allowed to bring in a cheat sheet. So Good Luck everyone, and make sure that what is on your cheat sheet is useful, dont fill it up with non sence it will just make it harder to understand.

From all the units that we have covered so far in Math, i think that I like this VECTOR UNIT the best. I think that the only thing that confusses me is the directions which is very important. But I think im going to do fine on the test, i just have to really listen and think about it. Ex. 30 degrees North of West. Besdies that i find it easy, you just have to really understand the question. But when we did the quiz yesterday, i found the questioning kinda confussing and hard to understand, but after the whole class went through it, I understood it.

Well, it is the day before our test and i am starting to get nervous, I think that the unit was difficult, but once i started understanding the formulas it started to get easier, but im still having problems. I think that it was to get the idea of an example and using it for another question, but it usually doesn't work, you have to really understand what is happening. Well, GOOD LUCK everyone!!

STATISTICS

Hey everyone, i thought i would try something new and make all the slides into flickr's and you know what it was kinda fun. So I'm done all the hot spots for all the slides but now I'm trying too group them and make is to a slide show like our slide share that Mr.K does, but some reason it ain't working for me. So me and Mr.K thought for now your can click on the slides below and it will link you to my flickr's. Well have FUN.

We are finally coming to an end with this Probability Unit and still i don't know much, its every hard to understand, but with reviewing all the practice we had done and all the notes that we have taken i think it will help a lot. Sometimes I know what Mr. K is talking about, and other times i don't, guess it's all the steps and all the ways you can look at the problem. Its a lot to remember like braking the problem and doing them in step so it can help, and the make the right choices in which probability solution to use. For example...if it is a theoretical, experimental, binomial experimental probability, permutations, combinations....just lots to remember. But besides all that, its kinda fun to do.

PROBABILITY

On Thursday, February 22, 2007, we started the class with learning the history of Probabilities.(refer to slides)

Things you MUST write in your MATH DICTIONARY. (refer to slides)
Terms you should know...
Theoretical Probability
Binomial Experiment & Probability

As the slides are a great source to refer to, here is one of the example that we have gone through...

In a family of 3, what is the probability that 2 of the children will be girls. Using a tree diagram we can determine the outcome by...

Also in class we covered, what sources we can go or use to generate random numbers to help figure out the probability. One of the sources we used was...

A. which represents the TOTAL number of people, items, objects, ect.
B. which represents one type of ________ you are trying to find out
C. which represents another type of _______ you are trying to find out
D. which represents the amount of ______ you are studying

in the case of the example above, we entered this...

120 which represents the TOTAL number of Kids
1 which represents: Boy
2 which represents: Girl
40 which represents the # of families

Another way of figuring the same information above, is by entering the information in your TI-83 calculator. http://www.stat.uconn.edu/~pepe/ti83binomial.html visit this page, it may help you understand computing binomial probability.

Mr. K always say that "MATHAMATICS IS SOMETHING TO SOMETHING PATTERN," and in saying that we also branched off on to Pathways & Pascal's Triangle and finding patterns. Paterns that was made were.. (can't really explain, need to get a clean blank triangle thing, ill get that at class.)

Congrats to...
